I'm a U.S. Veteran, how can I sign up for free?

TRULEO supports U.S. veterans through both individual free trials and agency contracts. The right path depends on whether your department has enrolled with TRULEO.

Option 1: Individual free trial (any officer, including veterans)

Any officer — veteran or not — can sign up at truleo.co for a free trial:

  • 30 days of unlimited access to start
  • Extendable by referring colleagues or connecting agency systems — see Free trial extensions and expiration
  • Self-serve — no agency contract required

This is the fastest way to try TRULEO on your own.

Option 2: Veteran licenses under an agency contract

When your department signs a TRULEO contract, U.S. veteran licenses remain free for qualifying officers as part of the agency agreement.

This benefit applies to veterans whose agency is a TRULEO customer — not to individual accounts outside a department contract.

What to do:

  1. Ask your command staff or TRULEO administrator whether your agency has a TRULEO contract.
  2. If yes, request access through your department's normal user invite process.
  3. Confirm with your administrator that veteran licensing applies to your account.

Option 3: Agency pilot (department evaluation)

Departments can request a free pilot with full access, training, and Customer Success support before signing a contract.

Common questions

Can I get the veteran program without my agency enrolling?

The individual free trial (Option 1) is available to any officer at no cost for the trial period. The ongoing free veteran license benefit requires your agency to be under a TRULEO contract (Option 2).

I already have a free trial — will I lose access when my department signs?

Contact support@truleo.co if you have both a personal trial account and a department invite. Support can migrate your account so you keep your work. See Resolving "phone must be unique" during signup.

How do I bring TRULEO to my department?

  • Start with the individual free trial if you want to evaluate TRULEO immediately.
  • Share TRULEO with your command staff early if you want veteran licensing under an agency contract.
