May 15–21, 2026 - Release Notes
TruAssist
Field Notes
TruAssist now responds to personal crisis messages with a direct EAP referral and steps back — rather than engaging in a conversation it isn't designed for. Informational wellness questions (sleep, stress management, VALOR resources) continue to route through document search as before. (#4923)
- Pinned message display fixes: sidebar items correctly clamp to 3 lines even when content starts with a code block; the pinned message dialog is wider; wide responses (tables, code) scroll horizontally instead of overflowing. (#4920)
- TruAssist header in the Analyst panel is refreshed — title centered, "Top Questions Asked" moved to the settings dropdown to keep the header focused on chat and support. (#4936)
- Settings menu reorganized — Chat with Support and Top Questions Asked now appear at the top of the menu, ahead of Knowledge Base, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service. (#4937)
- New: Combine Field Notes — select two or more field notes to merge them into a single note. Useful when multiple notes were started for the same incident. Transcripts are joined in chronological order; the most recent report type and template are carried forward. (#4917)
- Product tour reordered — the NIBRS/checklist step now comes before template selection, matching the actual toolbar layout. The two TruAssist spotlight steps are merged into one. (#4916)
- Bug fix: updating a field note no longer risks inadvertently removing attached videos, documents, or voice recordings. Attachments are only deleted when explicitly removed. (#4926)
Several updates to the Truleo desktop capture agent (CUA):
- Service/headless mode — the CUA can now be installed and run as a Windows service for IT-managed deployments. (#4873)
- Improved security — credentials are now stored in an encrypted local store instead of the Windows registry. Autologon remains on by default but is optional. BWC configuration fields moved to Advanced Options for cleaner default installs. (#4873)
- Executables renamed to
truleo_*.exeto prevent conflicts with Windows process management tools. (#4938) - Bug fix: the restart loop on Linux-hosted agents is fixed — restart behavior now applies to Windows on-prem agents only. (#4945)
- Reports now export as PDF instead of Word documents — PDFs preview correctly directly in the Document dialog. (#4919)
- Empty states on the Analyst page are now context-aware — Cases, Records, and Briefings each show a dedicated prompt instead of a generic placeholder. (#4914)
Interview templates expanded beyond Traffic Accident. Agencies can now configure custom interview scripts (via interview pins) for any witness interview type. A default Witness Interview template is available for all agencies; the existing Traffic Accident script is seeded for current users. (#4474)
Admin / User Management- Free trial period extended from 30 to 60 days for new signups. (#4915)
- Audit logging is now fully active in production. (#4859)
- Bug fix: when transcript PII redaction is disabled for an organization, the model-based redaction component is now correctly deactivated as well, ensuring consistent behavior. (#4921)
