Templates

The Template Library is now a global dialog accessible from the navbar on any page — no longer tied to Analyst or Field Notes.

  • Open, browse, and manage templates from anywhere in the app without navigating to a specific page.
  • The dialog state is URL-linkable: links to specific templates can be bookmarked, shared, and survive page refreshes (#4940).
  • Template dropdowns in Field Notes and Analyst now group templates under MY TEMPLATES and TRULEO headers, matching the layout in the Template Library sidebar (#4987).
  • Fixed: selecting "New Template" from the Analyst dropdown now opens a blank template instead of the currently-selected one; newly created templates appear immediately in dropdowns without a page refresh (#4987).
Analyst
  • Case overview reports now lead with Preliminary Findings and Recommended Next Steps, putting the most actionable content at the top before case metadata, subjects, and timeline (#4980).
  • The Add to Analyst dialog now auto-focuses the search input when opened and sorts results by most recently created first — find the right case faster (#4977).
  • "Analyze New Case" is now the consistent label for new-case CTAs throughout Analyst — empty states, buttons, and flow entry points all use the same wording (#4992).
AI Witness Interviews
  • Witness Interview pins now support customizable interview types beyond traffic accidents — agencies can configure the interview script and labels per pin. A default Traffic Accident template is pre-loaded for new agencies and backfilled for existing ones (#4959).
  • Improved tooltip on the disabled delete button — now explains why the button is unavailable instead of showing a plain title (#4993).
Legal / Account
  • CJIS session expiry warning: users now see a 5-minute warning before automatic logout due to inactivity, with the option to stay active or sign out gracefully — in compliance with FBI CJIS Security Policy (#4975).

Performance and stability
  • Fixed repeated transcription generation for videos processed through the Utility BWC connector, eliminating unnecessary reprocessing (#4964).
  • Improved bulk jail call ingestion performance by removing redundant duplicate-document checks on large list uploads (#4958).
