September 11–18, 2026 - Release Notes

TruAssist

  • TruAssist's Shortcuts panel and onboarding messages now match what your plan and license type actually let you do — no more nudges toward features you can't access.
  • You can now ask TruAssist to list, view, create, update, or clone your Field Notes, Analyst, Briefing, and Interview Script templates in natural language — including setting first/third-person and narrative/bullet-point formatting preferences that stick for future generations.
  • Added a "Jail Call Intelligence" shortcut group with one-click prompts for common jail-call workflows — PREA audits, inmate communication summaries, coded-word detection, and more — for organizations with jail calls connected.
  • Investigators who already have jail calls connected now see referral and testimonial cards instead of the "Connect Jail Calls" prompt, since that step is already done.

Analyst Jail Call Briefings got a major upgrade:

  • Report templates (e.g. general jail call analysis, inmate hotlists) now run automatically and open as separate tabs, so you get one focused report per template instead of a single blended output.
  • Citations in briefing reports are now clickable — click a citation or a transcript segment to jump straight to that moment in the recording.
  • A new in-report search (Ctrl+F) highlights every match and lets you step through them.
  • Inmate names now show up in the table of contents for faster navigation.
  • More accurate citations across Analyst reports and briefings — a new verification step catches and corrects misattributed source citations before they reach you.
  • Case processing no longer automatically jumps you to the Reports tab, and notifications are now scoped to the tab you're actually viewing.
  • Fixed an issue where very large case reports could overload TruAssist's ability to reference them mid-conversation.

Field Notes

  • Fixed a bug that blocked generating a BWC report from a video with no transcript, even for users who had been granted permission to do so.

Documents

  • PowerDMS imports that include a malformed document no longer fail the whole batch — Truleo now imports the valid documents and shows you which titles were skipped.

Admin / User Management

  • Disabling a user now clears their phone number, so agencies can reassign that number to the next officer without it staying locked to the old account.
  • TruAssist access on call/BWC reviews can now be granted or revoked per user, not just org-wide.
  • Send Praise emails and texts now include a link to the video, so officers with a Truleo account know what they're being recognized for.
  • Fixed an error that could prevent the Groups, Officers, and Users pages from loading for some users.
  • Fixed an error that could cause connector (agent) document uploads to fail.
  • Added google.com to the list of blocked link domains for added security.

Legal / Account

  • Organization settings' "Features" tab is now "Permissions," built on a new plan (free/pilot/paid) and license type (patrol/investigator/command) model — giving Truleo a single, consistent place to manage what your organization and users can access.
  • Pilot organizations now see a clear countdown banner and a dedicated status page once a pilot period ends, mirroring the existing free trial experience.
  • Read-only mode (for expired trials/pilots) is now enforced consistently everywhere — Field Notes, Analyst, and TruAssist all clearly disable editing and explain why.
  • Refreshed the look of the sign-in, sign-up, and password reset pages to match the current design.
