Trial and pilot status

Your status banner

While you're on a free trial or pilot plan, a status banner appears in the navigation bar showing the number of days remaining. Click it to open a dialog explaining what happens when your access ends and how to keep using TRULEO past that point.

What happens when access ends: read-only mode

Once your trial or pilot period ends, your account moves into read-only mode. In this mode you can still view existing Field Notes, Analyst cases, and TruAssist conversations, but you can't:

• Create or edit Field Notes, including uploading or removing attachments
• Create or edit Analyst cases, templates, or document uploads
• Start new TruAssist conversations or send new messages

Any control affected by read-only mode is disabled with a tooltip explaining why. The navigation bar is also tinted to make it clear you're in this mode.

Extending your access

The options in your status dialog depend on your license type:

• Patrol and command users see cards to Refer an Investigator (introduce TRULEO to an investigator at your agency) and Submit a Testimonial (the Share Your Experience card — send a short testimonial about your experience with TRULEO).
• Investigators who haven't connected jail calls yet see a Connect Jail Calls card instead, offering a same-day connection to unlock jail call intelligence.
• Investigators whose agency already has jail calls connected see only the Refer an Investigator card.

You can submit one testimonial. After you send it, the Submit a Testimonial card no longer appears.

Best practices

• Connect jail calls (if you're an investigator and haven't yet) before your trial ends — it's a same-day setup and removes one reason your access might lapse
• If you're approaching read-only mode, finish and save any in-progress Field Notes or Analyst cases first
• A referral or testimonial can extend free trial access — check your status dialog for the current offer
