How to view and interact with the transcript

Each call comes with a transcript that is seen in the single call reviewer screen. The transcript is viewed whenever the user chooses the transcript feature seen at the top of the right hand column

Any user can view and interact with a transcript during video playback. Edits to the transcript can ONLY be made by users with reviewer permissions. See "Editing The Transcript" for more information 

 

To view and interact with the transcript

  • The user can press play on the video and the transcript follows along with the video, highlighting each segment, the time, and underlining each word when spoken in the video 
  • The user can click, or click and drag, the video playback bar to navigate through the video, or transcript. The transcript will move to the time where the user has chosen in the video. From there, the transcript follows along with the video, highlighting each segment, the time, and underlining each word when spoken in the video

  • The user can click on any segment in the transcript and the video will play at that chosen segment's time, highlighting and underlining the segment, the time, and words when spoken in the video

Hovering over the transcript prevents auto-scrolling of the transcript while in sync with video playback. The below alert will surface when this occurs. Simply move your mouse away from the transcript and the two become synced again

Remember that clicking on the Events in the event timeline will also direct the video playback and transcript. See "Event Timeline" for more information
